Ans. In fact, freedom is life for both man and animal. Freedom is the right to express one’s personality without any hindrance. Just as a man who is free to do anything in his life, if he is made a slave and he is not allowed to work with his mind, then he becomes very upset and sad, in the same way animals also who live in the open environment of the forest. If they live in a slave or keep them locked in a cage, their mind remains sad and they always remember the environment of the forest. (वास्तव में, स्वंतत्रता मनुष्य और पशु दोनों के लिए ही जीवन है। बिना किसी बाधा के अपने व्यक्तित्व को प्रकट करने के अधिकार का नाम स्वतंत्रता है। जिस तरह एक मनुष्य जो अपने जीवन में कुछ भी करने के लिए स्वतंत्र है उसे अगर गुलाम बना दिया जाए और उसको उसके मन से काम न करने दिया जाए तो वह अत्यंत परेशान और दुःखी हो जाता है ठीक उसी तरह जानवर भी जो जंगल के खुले वातावरण में रहते हैं उनको गुलाम बना लेने से या पिंजरे में बंद रखने से उनका मन दुःखी रहता है और वे हमेशा जंगल के वातावरण को याद करते रहते हैं।)

Ans. Obviously some animals are dying out and the tiger is one of them. There can be many reasons for the extinction of tigers – such as;
1. Rapid reduction of forest area: There has always been indiscriminate felling of trees and forests have been converted into residential areas. As a result, wild animals like tigers living in the forest are gradually becoming homeless.
2. Uncontrollable hunting: Medicines are made from the bones of tigers. Countries like China, Vietnam and Myanmar are major buyers of these. The international market for tiger bones and skins is more than $32 billion.
Apart from this, there can be many other reasons like; Tiger tourism, global warming and failure of tiger project etc.
It is necessary to stop the declining number of tigers because tigers help a lot in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.

Following measures can be taken to stop the declining number of tigers – such as;
1. To protect and restore and maintain proper monitoring of all routes leading to natural habitats of tigers to reduce human-tiger conflicts. Also, keeping the intelligence system strong at its own level.
2. Alternative arrangements should be made for the local communities who are dependent on the forest, so that the pressure of man from the natural sites of tigers should be reduced.
3. To strengthen the forest department and other government agencies as far as possible to prevent poaching of tigers and other wild animals.
Apart from this, there can be many other measures, such as creating awareness among the general public towards animals and following forest rules etc.
(जाहिर है कि कुछ जानवरों का अस्तित्व समाप्त हो रहा है और बाघ उन्हीं में से एक है। बाघों का अस्तित्व समाप्त होने के कई कारण हो सकते हैं – जैसे;
1. वन क्षेत्र का तेज़ी से कम होना: हमेशा से पेड़ों की अधाधुंध कटाई होती रही है और जंगल आवासीय क्षेत्रों में तब्दील होते रहे हैं। फलस्वरूप जंगल में रहने वाले बाघ जैसे वन्य-जीव धीरे-धीरे बेघर होते जा रहे हैं।
2. बेकाबू शिकार: बाघों की हड्डियों से दवाइयां बनती हैं। चीन, वियतनाम और म्यामांर जैसे देश इनके ब़डे खरीदार हैं। बाघों की हड्डियों और खाल का अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार 32 अरब डॉलर से भी ज्यादा का है।
इसके अलावा भी बहुत सारे और कारण हो सकते हैं जैसे; टाइगर टूरिज्म, ग्लोबल वार्मिंग और टाइगर प्रोजेक्ट का नाकाम होना इत्यादि।
बाघों की गिरती हुई संख्या को रोकना जरूरी है क्योंकि बाघ पारिस्थितिक तंत्र के सन्तुलन को बनाए रखने में काफी मदद करते हैं।

बाघों की गिरती हुई संख्या को रोकने लिए निम्नलिखित उपाय किये सकते हैं – जैसे;
1. मनुष्य और बाघों के टकराव को कम करने के लिए बाघों के प्राकृतिक आवासों की ओर जाने वाले सभी रास्तों की सुरक्षा एवं उन पर उचित निगरानी रखना। साथ ही, अपने-अपने स्तर पर खुफिया तन्त्र को मजबूत रखना।
2. स्थानीय समुदाय जो जंगल पर निर्भर हैं, उनके लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए, जिससे बाघ के प्राकृतिक स्थलों से मनुष्य का दबाव घटे।
3. बाघ तथा अन्य वन्य प्राणियों के अवैध शिकार को रोकने के लिए वन -विभाग तथा अन्य सरकारी एजेन्सियों को यथासम्भव मजबूत बनाना।
इसके अलावा और भी कई सारे उपाय हो सकते हैं जैसे जनसाधारण में जानवरों के प्रति संवेदनशीलता जागृत करना और वन्य नियमों का पालन करना इत्यादि।)
