रॉबर्ट फ्रॉस्ट की लघु कविता ‘डस्ट ऑफ स्नो’ प्रकृति और छोटी चीजों की अकल्पनीय उपचार शक्ति पर प्रकाश डालती है। खराब मूड से लेकर अस्वस्थता तक, ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं है जिसे प्रकृति द्वारा ठीक नहीं किया जा सकता है।

इस कविता में कवि को एक बुरे दिन का अनुभव होता है। वह किसी समस्या से बहुत परेशान हैं। एक कौवा एक हेमलॉक यानी धतूरा के पेड़ पर बैठता है, जिस पर बर्फ जमी होती है। जब वह पेड़ पर बैठता है, तो पेड़ की शाखाएं हिलती हैं और बर्फ के कण कवि पर पड़ती है।

बर्फ तुरंत उन्हें खुश कर देती है। उनका दिन बहुत अच्छा हो जाता है। इस प्रकार, समग्र रूप से प्रकृति की सर्वोच्चता ने उन्हें यह एहसास कराया कि उनकी समस्या कितनी क्षुद्र थी। तथ्य यह है कि हेमलॉक(धतूरा की प्रजाति) का पेड़ जहरीला होता है, जिसमें कौवा कयामत का सूचक होता है और कथाकार के जीवन में आनंद के वाहक के रूप में कविता में भय का उपयोग विडंबना है।

‘Dust of snow’ the short poem by Robert Frost throws light on the unimaginable healing power of nature and tiny things. From bad mood to malaise, there is nothing that cannot be cured by nature.

In this poem, the author experiences a bad day. He is very upset about some problems. A crow sits on a hemlock tree, on which snow is frozen. When he sits on the tree, the branches of the tree shake and the dust of snow falls on the writer.

The snow instantly makes him happier. His day gets a lot better. Thus, the supremacy of nature as a whole made him realize how petty his problem was. The fact that the hemlock tree is poisonous, with the crow being an indicator of doom and the use of fear in the poem as a carrier of joy in the narrator’s life, is ironic.

The poet believes that these themes try to emphasize that people and things who are sometimes associated with the negative aspects of life can be carriers of change and happiness. Despite all the unpredictability, being in nature can benefit anyone anytime, anywhere.

Robert Frost द्वारा लिखित Dust of Snow Poem को पढ़ने से पता चलता है कि सर्दी का मौसम है कवि किसी कारणवश दुःखी होकर हेमलॉक के पेड़ के नीचे खड़े हैं और उस पेड़ पर बर्फ जमा हुआ है। कवि लिखते हैं कि एक कौआ उड़ता हुआ आता है और हेमलॉक के पेड़ पर बैठ जाता है। उसको बैठने से पेड़ की शाखाएं हिल जाती हैं जिससे उस पर जमें हुए बर्फ के कण मेरे (कवि) ऊपर गिरते हैं।

जैसे ही बर्फ के कण मुझ पर गिरते हैं, मेरे मनोदशा में परिवर्तन हो जाता है। अर्थात मैं(कवि), जो पहले दुःखी था; अब बर्फ के कुछ कणों को गिरने से आनन्द का अनुभव करने लगता हूँ। कवि कहते हैं कि इस प्रकार मैं अपने एक दिन के कुछ हिस्से को दुःखी रहने से बचा पाता हूँ।
